John's MIDI files
So this is the vanity publishing page. But after all, this was one of my main objectives in running this website ... I had several sequences that didn't fit on other websites. So here they are ... The MIDI sequences are grouped by genre, though many are hard to categorize. But then, so goes my taste in music.
All of the MIDI files were sequenced for the Ensoniq Soundscape Elite soundcard. Further details on the technical side of the music can be found under the geeky details! tab above.

On the Shores of Loch Ness - a neo-psychedelic instrumental
based on some traditional Celtic tunes. The main theme begins
with a storm over the Loch. Then the storm dissipates, and a mist
settles over the ripples in the water, which suggest a large form
moving just beneath the surface. There is a break in the clouds,
and a lone ray of sunlight shines down upon the Loch. And the
monster takes the spotlight, equipped with straw hat and cane,
to dance a strathspey. Then the main theme returns, as another
storm moves in. (1999)
